Marc Llewellyn is an award-winning freelance travel writer based in Sydney, Australia. Marc is the President of the Australian Society of Travel Writers.

Finding Nino, his latest creation, is a tale of life spent living on Lipari, the largest of the Aeolian Islands.

He is the author of several books, including his travelogue Riders to the Midnight Sun, published by New Holland in 2001. This told the story of his almost-heroic cycle trip through the former Soviet Union from Sevastopol in the Ukrainian Crimea to Murmansk in the Russian Arctic.

He cycled with his wife the whole 4,500km (2,800 miles) on bicycles that were so cheap that they came in a box and had to be built from scratch by the hapless pair. Along the way they camped in forests and popped into several nuclear power stations.

Marc is the co-author of the Frommers Guide to Australia, and the Dummies Guide to Australia. he contributes travel stories and photos to newspaper travel sections and travel magazines in Australia and overseas.
